Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service

(Advanced Private CAMHS Clinic)

This is a doctor first service run by Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist, Dr Michael Grant. His core psychiatric training was at the Oxford School of Psychiatry. His higher specialist child and adolescent psychiatric training was at Great Ormond Street Hospital, UCL and the Institute of Child Health. This included his role as an honorary researcher.

He personally speaks to families briefly before the first appointments as part of the triage process, once each appointment is made. The full range of psychiatric (mental health) disorders and neurodevelopmental conditions are assessed and treated by Dr Grant, except for eating disorders, psychosis and high risk patients (suicidal or active serious self injurious incidents) under crisis management in the community or an inpatient.

ADHD and ASD assessment reports can be produced within 24 hours, if all the requested and required information is provided by the time of the feedback appointment. This is because his assessments are supported administratively using an app that he developed himself during the Covid-19 pandemic. It is called Autism and ADHD Mapper and remains an industry first!

Assessments are booked via the booking page and includes discounted ASD and ADHD assessments bundles for those needing both assessments.

Age range:

5 to 18 years old. If under his care before 18, he can continue seeing the young person until they are 21. This ensures that there is sensible continuity of care.
